Author's Bio
Jimmy Laura Smull Ph.D. is a cultural anthropologist who received
her doctorate in philosophy of human science from Saybrook Graduate
School and Research Center in 2000. Her research centered on women
disillusioned with the Adam and Eve mythology of fundamentalist religion
who found their way to spiritual freedom.
Contributing to her research was a conference she organized for two hundred women in New York City on the subject of “Body, Mind and Spirit of Women.” Her findings led eventually to the development of a model for application to issues specifically experienced by women of our generation.
Dr. Smull has lectured on the "Healing Eve" process to many organizations, including
The UCLA Center for the Study of Religion.
Dr. Smull's lectures are also in demand on the subject, "Cracking
The Code of Aging", based on her second book, The
Silver Pearl: Our Generation's Search for Meaning (Ampersand, Inc., 2007).
The Silver Pearl: Our Generation's Search
For Meaning is co-authored
with Carol Orsborn, Ph. D., and it synthesizes original research,
psychological theory, spiritual principles and common sense into
